Hot Springs National Park is one of the best kept secrets of all National Parks. Tucked away in the middle of Arkansas, in 1932 it was the first park in the country to have received federal protection. Known for it's natural hot springs, by 1851 the city of Hot Springs quickly became a popular location for MLB spring training, as well as gambling and speakeasies during the prohibition era. Today, the family friendly park sees thousands of visitors each year to enjoy various bath houses, Gilded Age architecture, and geologic formations.
