As part of their plan to continue expanding into America, the Canadian Football League relocated the Las Vegas Posse after the 1995 season. They were moved to Miami where they became the manatees, and were scheduled to play their home games for the 1996 season at the Miami Orange Bowl. Ultimately, the team never came to fruition as the CFL suspended operations in the U.S before the 1996 season.
