In 1988, the New Jersey Saints won the Major Indoor Lacrosse League (MLL) championship. The franchise would relocate to Uniondale, New York the very next season to become the New York Saints. From 1989 until the team ceased operations in 2003, the Saints played their home games at Nassau Coliseum.
