Planet Ocean opened in the mid-70s in Miami, FL, and was designed to be an interactive museum with displays and other attractions that customers could interact with. A short film also named Planet Ocean was made about the establishment and nominated for an Academy Award. While Planet Ocean was a great idea it struggled to bring in steady business and closed its doors in 1991.
