The Hornets were a minor league professional ice hockey team that was based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and had two stints of operation early-mid 90s, as well as a shorter stint in the 1960s. Originially beginning in 1936 as the relocation of the Detroit Olympics franchise, the Hornets would use the Duquesne Gardens to play their home games. They started in the IHL, which eventually became the American Hockey League in 1940 and would be the league the Hornets competed in for twenty years until their home arena was torn down in 1956. The Hornets would reappear for 5 seasons in 1961, using the Civic Arena for home games, and ceasing operations following the victory of their third Calder Cup in 1967.

Our women’s slim-fitting t-shirt features a classic set-in crew neck collar with tapered shoulders, and side seam stitching to ensure it keeps it’s shape wash after wash. We use an incredibly soft cotton that’s combed and ringspun. With a fabric weight of 4.2 oz, they have just the right amount of comfort and breathability.

Please note: Our women’s t-shirt runs small for most people so we suggest ordering at least one size up. See our size chart for exact dimensions. If you prefer a more relaxed fit we recommend the men/unisex option.
