Chain of Rocks Amusement Park first opened its doors to the public in 1927. The park was located in St. Louis, Missouri, and operated for over half a century. CoR grew over the years to provide more and more theme park attractions, but their main source of business was actually school picnics for children. Chain of Rocks operated under three owners during it's time, eventually closing for good in 1978 after 51 years.
