One of the founding franchises of Roller Hockey International was the Utah Rollerbees. They were one of twelve teams that were created to bring professional roller hockey to mainstream America. Created with the rest of the league in 1994, the Rollerbees were based in Salt Lake City and played in the Salt Palace during their first and only season. Before the next season began, the team was relocated to Las Vegas and changed their name to the Flash in 1994.
