The Washington Wave played professional lacrosse from 1987 to 1989. The franchise was a member first of the Eagle Pro Box Lacrosse League, and then the Major Indoor Lacrosse League (MILL). Although the team called Washington D.C their home, they played their home games at the Capital Center in Landover, Maryland.
