A throwback to the Electric Banana, the club on Bigelow Boulevard that was Pittsburgh's CBGB; the punk laboratory where Johnny and Judy Banana turned a dead disco into the beating heart of the city's underground. For two decades it gave untried local bands their shot and hosted everybody on the way up: Black Flag, the Butthole Surfers, the Chili Peppers, Sonic Youth, Hüsker Dü. Johnny was famous for stiffing bands on the door; Judy slipped them free drinks and a couch to crash on. If you caught a show at the Banana, you remember it... ears ringing.
Our women’s slim-fitting t-shirt features a classic set-in crew neck collar with tapered shoulders, and side seam stitching to ensure it keeps it’s shape wash after wash. We use an incredibly soft cotton that’s combed and ringspun. With a fabric weight of 4.2 oz, they have just the right amount of comfort and breathability.
