Located in Kansas City, Missouri, Fairyland was an amusement park that operated for over half a century. It first opened to the public in 1923, and would accumulate three roller coasters, an eight story ferris wheel, and even a pool area to attract business. In 1977, attendance was already low and when a winter storm forced the theme park to close, it never re-opened to the public.
