A throwback to the Groundhog Tavern, the watering hole down in Underground Atlanta during its heyday — greeted, famously, by a pair of seven-foot groundhogs at the door, one in overalls. Part of the same Atlanta bar lineage that went on to give the city Atkins Park, it was pure Underground: drinks, characters, and a dressed-up groundhog presiding over it all. A piece of old Atlanta. If you drank at the Groundhog, you remember it.
