A throwback to the Hickory House on West 52nd Street, the Manhattan steakhouse famous for hickory-log-broiled steaks, chops, and seafood — and, in the late 1940s, for the jazz. Right in the thick of 52nd Street's legendary club row, it had the likes of Marian McPartland at the keys while the grill smoked. Steaks and standards, sister to its Miami Beach namesake. If you caught a night at the Hickory House, you remember it.
