Pavillion Park in Myrtle Beach was an immensely popular destination for tourists throughout its 50+ years of operation. Its pay-per-ride model made it ideal for families on a budget, or if you just had a few hours to kill. As tourism declined during the recession in the mid '00s, the park ran into financial trouble and eventually closed. Most of its rides were sold and moved around the country, but the parks historic carousel and Baden Band Organ were relocated to Broadway at the Beach.
