The Rhode Island Auditorium stood at 1111 N. Main Street in Providence for 65 years where it served as the home arena for the Providence Steamrollers of the NBA, Providence Reds of the AHL, and Providence Friars hockey team. Aside from several notable concerts, Providence Arena also hosted 28 of Rocky Marciano's 49 professional fights in a 4 year span.
