An expansion franchise of Roller Hockey International, the Rhinos joined the league in 1994 after their first full season. They were based out of San Jose, California and used San Jose Arena to play their home games. The Rhinos competed in RHI for the rest of the league's existence, eventually folding after the 1999 season.
