A throwback to Winner Whiskey, distilled by the West Penn Distilling Company of New Kensington, Pennsylvania, in the years right after Repeal. Its president, David Stern, had spent Prohibition selling near beer and jumped into the real thing the day it was legal again. In Pennsylvania the state ran every liquor store, so the trick was getting the state to buy, and Winner had friends in Harrisburg, including a state treasurer who stopped by the liquor board personally to ask for another order. It all came out in the hearings, along with the same barrels pledged to more than one bank. Ask for Winner, the shot glasses said. Somebody important always did.
Our women’s slim-fitting t-shirt features a classic set-in crew neck collar with tapered shoulders, and side seam stitching to ensure it keeps it’s shape wash after wash. We use an incredibly soft cotton that’s combed and ringspun. With a fabric weight of 4.2 oz, they have just the right amount of comfort and breathability.
